 Three Square has until April 30thto raise $3M in matching funds! They must raise $12 million for the 2011-2012 budget in order to meet its operational goal of distributing more than 24 million pounds of food and grocery product into the community. Through a network of more than 600 Program Partners, Three Square currently serves approximately 100,000 individuals monthly, 40,000 of which are children.

Massive Clothing Donation Drive to Help Medically Fragile Children

To celebrate the season, Foundation for Positively Kids is hosting Pack the Bins, a six week “spring cleaning” clothing drive to help the medically fragile children in Las Vegas.  The goal is to raise 1 million pounds of gently used adult and children’s clothing.  Donations can be deposited at any of Positively Kids’ 145 donation bins located throughout the Las Vegas valley.   Pack the Bins will kick off on March 20 with a special clothing drive to help spread the importance of supporting medically fragile and special needs children; 15% of all babies born in Clark County each year are diagnosed as medically fragile and an additional 5,000 children become medically fragile each year due to illness or injury.
